Following the decision for Ian and Beverly to retire the new owners Julie and Bernie established a company, Alphra Kelsey Limited, which was incorporated in 2017. However, trading commenced under the name Alphra Lavender in 1997 when the original owners, Beverley & Ian Parlane decided their lifetime passion about the significant health benefits which lavender contributes to life quality had to be shared with as many people as possible.
Alphra Kelsey Limited has one director, Julie Radice, who undertakes all the administration, marketing and future planning of the company, from the company’s premises, 169 Brotherhood Road, Te Awamutu, New Zealand 3875. Contact details are shown below.
We grow a number of varieties of lavender of which three varieties are grown for commercial production of essential oil of lavender.
During flowering our lavender fields look wonderful, being a vista of different colours of lavender.
Lavender flowers commence with our early variety in late November, our main fields will flower from early December through to late January when we harvest for lavender oil distillation.
The traditional role of lavender and natural healing powers in helping people to maintain a balance in their lives have been a key concern of Alphra Lavender.
Based on experience and knowledge obtained by the original owners Beverley and Ian from their wide research over many years, Alphra Lavender has now evolved to become an exciting new company trading in the wellness industry, focused on promoting sound body care for all.
New product development and product research is carried out in association with an Australasian research laboratory. Production of our body-care range is contracted to our Auckland (New Zealand) based specialist contract cosmetician company whose aseptic facility provides us with the critical productive commercial capacity and quality assurance we require for our formulations.
All products are developed for export purposes. This requires that quality and value has to be of paramount importance. We are pleased to receive visitors from many parts of the world, as we see this as a good opportunity to inter-relate with others in our ‘global village’, and share common values with them.
